Dave Martinez said that he started choking on sunflower seeds when he first saw Juan Soto hobbling around third yesterday. The manager's initial thought was an Achilles. Can't blame him given what Soto means to this team/season.

Thankfully for Soto and the Nats, the 20-year-old suffered a sprained ankle and is considered day-to-day with the injury.
Davey says Juan Soto has a mild strain. Rolled his ankle. Xrays negative. Day to day

Given the way things looked initially, however, we can’t blame Martinez for reacting the way he did.
