Will Zalatoris claims Tiger Woods played ‘great’ during practice round ahead of 2024 Masters

As per Underdog Fantasy, Zalatoris claimed that Woods “out drove” him several times which led to some chirping. The 27-year-old golfer added that it was “pretty amazing” to see him (Woods) in this form.

He played great today. He outdrove me a couple times, so there was some chirping going on. So, you know, he looks great. He’s moving as well as he can be...Again, with everything he’s gone through, it’s pretty amazing to see how good he’s swinging it. Will Zalatoris said.

While Woods may not be a favorite to win the event this year, he does have some special goals in his sight. He is currently tied on 23 consecutive cuts made at the Masters along with veterans Gary Player and Fred Couples.

A cut his weekend would see him script a new record of the most consecutive cuts made with 24. He did make a cut in 2023 but was later forced to withdraw due to an injury.

Tiger Woods and Will Zalatoris skip balls at 16th hole

The Masters tournament at the Augusta National is known for it’s traditions. In recent years, one such tradition of skipping balls at the par-3 16th hole has become quite famous. With a huge pond covering one side of the greens, this is one of the tricky holes of the course.

In practice rounds, golfers have started to try and make the ball skip across the pond. Last year Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth were successfully in doing it. This year, Tiger Woods and Will Zalatoris decided to give it a shot and test their luck.

Just like Spieth and Rahm, Woods and Zalatoris were successfully in their quest here. While Woods’ effort went straight in a line, the ball of Zalatoris went further than his opponent’s after taking a huge bump off the greens.

Both this golfers underwent surgeries last year and missed a lot of action. They are now hoping for a strong bounce back from their previous disappointments. Fans are eager to see how they perform this week as the excitement for the first major continues to grow with each passing minute.
